Your contributions
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Dear, Beau Karpo, thank you very much for your contribution to this Wikipedia. However, please categorize the articles you create. It is very easy (even easier than adding the interwiki links - the thing you have already known, as I noticed). You only have to place an article into an appropriate category (please see an example [༡]), by writing [[Category:CATEGORY_NAME]] between the end of the text and the interwiki links. You seem quite an experienced user, so I hope you will understand. If you find some difficulties about that, please let me know.
One small note concerning the renaming of your userpage. According to the "Wikipedian law" we shall not be allowed to move our userpages to the main namespace, excluding some very rare exceptions (Details about you generally should not go in the main namespace, which is reserved for encyclopedic content, unless you are notable and someone else writes it[༢]). If you would like to change your username, please contact stewards, Wikipedians with special rights, since ordinary users cannot proceed such actions. Best regards. --Viskonsas ༡༥:༣༠, ༡༩ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
No problem, thuk je che !
By the way, as for adding interwiki links, you do not need to update articles in every single language when you create a new article here - adding linking interwikis in bo.wiki is enough - the rest is done by the so called [[༣]] which occassionaly update iw links. So all you need to do is to add interwikis to the article in this wiki (and it is recommended to update one only in English wikipedia in order to make bots working faster). --Viskonsas ༡༩:༡༤, ༡༩ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Ok, boss ! Thank you !
I am not a boss :D I am having sysop rights just for deleting the mess and blocking vandals, so... You can really make much bigger contribution here, since you can write in Tibetan. You could write something more in your userpage if you want, of course, (for example language abilities). It is very official to communicate via user talk page. Do you have an e-mail address? --Viskonsas ༢༠:༥༡, ༡༩ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Hi. It is me again. I was thinking that the article about བརྩེ་དུང་། should belong to the category:psichology. Do you know the translation for the word "psichology" in Tibetan? --Viskonsas ༡༥:༥༩, ༢༠ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
སེམས་ཁམས་རིག་པ། I think but I will ask tomorrow to be sure...
Dear Beaukarpo, when you create a category do not forget to put it into an appropriate category. Please see as an example. And please translate Category:བོད་པའི་གཞས་པ་གཞས་མ།. Let's meet on gmail when you have time. kind regards. --Viskonsas ༡༨:༠༧, ༢༢ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
could you visit gmail for a short time?
Yes, i hesitated to put it in geography category or not... I read your mail but i'm a little bit busy today... I will do that i can as soon as possible...
Article requests
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Hi Beaukarpo,
Could you create Tibetan articles based on these three articles:
3-5 short sentences for each article would be sufficient enough, Thankyou. --Jose77 ༢༣:༠༠, ༡༩ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
- 1 Tomorrow ཡེ་ཤུ།
- 2 After tomorrow if i've time
- 3 I did ཡེ་ཤུའི་ཆོས་ལུགས།
Thankyou very much
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]- THANKYOU SO MUCH Mr. Beaukarpo for your Translation help and effort!
- I am very Grateful.
- May You Prosper!
- If you want your favourite article to be translated into the Chinese language, then I would be glad to help you.
- Yours Sincerely, from --Jose77 ༢༣:༤༠, ༡༩ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
I put a more common cross (wooden color). What do you think about?
Cleaning Wikipedia
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Dear, Beaukarpo. I know you are busy, but please help me with the Wikipedia cleaning. From time to time I will show you the articles which have no interwiki links or which are uncategorized. If the article is not appropriate/relevant to Wikipedia, write "{{delete}}" at the beginning of such a page. Thank you for a big help.--Viskonsas ༡༠:༥༥, ༢༥ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
- རྐང་ལམ་ཕྲ་མོ (it seems it's not relevant for Wikipedia)
- གོང་ས་མཆོག (it is about Dalai Lama, but is content relevant?)
- ལང་ཚོའི་རྦབ་ཆུ
- སློབ་དཔོན་ཐུ་མི་སམ་བྷོ་ཊ།
- དྲོད་མ་ཡལ་བར་ཉར་ཚགས་བྱས་ཡོད་པའི་དགེ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་གསུང༌།
- ཀན་ལྷོ་བོད་རིགས་རང་སྐྱོང་ཁུལ།
Duplicate categories
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Dear Beaukarpo, you created 2 duplicate categories for bodhisattvas (it seems that Category:སངས་རྒྱས། refers to Category:Buddhas). Did you add wrong interwikis to the latter one? --Viskonsas ༡༠:༥༥, ༢༥ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Yes, you right... སངས་རྒྱས། is Buddhas category... i added wrong links...
ེུeuh... i corrected it :D but you deleted
Oh, sorry, I thought you want me to delete it, because there was no articles belonging to it and the category itself did not belong to any category. Since I deleted it, I am able to undelete it as well if you want. --Viskonsas ༡༢:༣༩, ༢༥ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Yes , if you can... Because boddhisatva and buddhas categories should not be same and there is an english buddhas caterory already (i changed this link)
The category undeleted. Please take care of it. :D --Viskonsas ༡༥:༣༡, ༢༥ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
i will start a Buddha serie when i'm "there"
First of all, add the categories, because cat:Buddhas is currently uncategorized (the best articles would be cat:Buddhism, cat:Deities). PS:Next time you comment on a talk page, use --~~~~ (your signature) at the end, because if there were more users, it would be a problem to know who commented. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༢༠, ༢༥ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
I noticed that you sometimes leave some words untranslated (such as Eleanor Roosevelt in ༄༅༎ ཡོངས་ཁྱབ་གསལ་བསྒྲགས་འགྲོ་བ་མིའི་ཐོབ་ཐང༌།, Hebrew and Arabic in the articles about Bible people or "Tibetan Bible Website" in གསུང་རབ།). It is better to translate all the words in Tibetan, including more difficult ones, such as Arabic, Hebrew. --Viskonsas ༡༡:༠༤, ༢༦ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Yes, it's just a question of time... It's necessary to see if there is an official transcription for each name...
P.S. Ok boss ! ;) --སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༡:༢༣, ༢༦ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
categories
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Does the word "ལོ" (year) has plural in Tibetan? We should create an article for years (cat:years), that's the reason why I am asking you that. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༡༣, ༡ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
No, but there is rarely plural mark in Tibetan language. So, for category: years you just need to write category: སྤྱི་ལོ།--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༠:༡༠, ༢ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Template:Editcounter
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Hi. I need your help again. Could you translate the following in Tibetan, because I am planning to create a template for editcounter (similar to the one in English, Lithuanian and many other Wikipedias). The text is the following:
- "This user has made over 100 contributions to Wikipedia."
(Now, the one who translated some Tibetan system words used "བྱས་རྗེས་" for "contributions", so I guess it is an appropriate word for that.) Thanks.
Done. I created that template ([༤]). Please checket whether it is ok. Oh yes, I forgot to add "[" and "]" when giving a link there. You are the one who has done most edits in Wikipedia, so you can use it in your userpage as well. It is a kind of interesting to check and update it. :D --Viskonsas ༡༦:༤༦, ༢ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
mmhh... sorry, but... how to use it?--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༧:༢༥, ༢ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
In fact, you are already familiar with templates usage. All you need to do is to add {{TEMPLATE_NAME}} at the beginning of your userpage. Take my local userpage (or Lithuanian one better) as an example if you need. Together with {{User contrib|NUMBER_OF_EDITS}} I recommend you to use བྷི་པེལ། templates as well (particularly in en.wiki, where most of the users use it. --Viskonsas ༡༩:༡༣, ༢ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
I see... What is this number close to "en"?{{User en-2}}
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༡:༤༢, ༣ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
It means your ability of speaking or writing in the appropriate language. 0 means no skill, 1 means basic, 2-intermediate, 3-advanced (or lower advanced), 4-nearly native level. "-N" or the template without any numbers means that you are a native speaker. If you have any questions, please ask, and when you ask me something you can write that on my "user talk}, because you have never visited it. --Viskonsas ༡༠:༤༤, ༣ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Tashi delek, there is not Itlaian language in this template?
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༡:༤༤, ༤ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Not yet, because there are no users who "oficially" speak Italian, but it will be if you use it. I can create it. If you are a polyglot you can add up to 99 such templates, because there is no big problem to create them. By the way, why did you change the template to {{User bo-2}} in your userpage? You are a native speaker, aren't you? --Viskonsas ༡༩:༢༣, ༤ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
No, no... my Tibetan language is not as good as a nativ... but i ask everytime to natives to verify my text... And yes, i speak Italian ;)
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༠:༢༥, ༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
- Yes, at last we have 1000 articles here, thanks to you. I noticed you created a page for User:གངས་ལྗོངས་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ།. Is this another username of yours or not?
As for works here, there are plenty things to do, so I am glad that you are willing not only to create new short articles, but also to expand them. I think we should begin with the categorization, because there is truly a mess with them. First of all, we should start from pages that have no categories at all ([(Special:UncategorizedPages). It includes articles about countries (they need to be added to categories by continent, just like in English Wikipedia (I mean, cat:Countries in Asia, cat:cat:Countries in Europe, etc.) --Viskonsas ༡༨:༠༢, ༡༦ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Please see ཧྥ་རན་སི།, Category talk:པེར་ཅིན།, Template talk:Books of the New Testament. Thank you. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༠༣, ༡༨ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)

[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Hi Mr. Beaukarpo,
Could you kindly help me translate this template into Tibetan?
Your help would indeed be Gratefully Appreciated, Thankyou. --Jose77 ༠༥:༡༨, ༡༤ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Not sure i'll found all the name but i will try...
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༥:༢༡, ༡༤ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
- Thanks Beaukarpo for your awesome translation help! --Jose77 ༠༠:༣༢, ༢༠ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Unnecessary articles
[རྩོམ་སྒྲིག]Hello once again. I noticed you are working with the translation of the article གསུང་རབ་ཀྱི་མིང་ཐོ།. It's nice to see that, but please do not create all the articles this list includes. Many articles about Biblical characters are even not significant enough to create an article about them. Furthermore, they are all too short. I do not want Tibetan Wikipedia to acquire the reputation of very short articles Wikipedia, do you? Tibetan Wikipedia has now more than 1000 articles after all - it is the barrier when we should start to expand articles, not just create very short ones. Maybe there are still some articles about significant Biblical characters left, but please add at least some additional words to every of it (like, "the son of [such] person". If there is no article in English Wikipedia, please do not create a separate article, but make a redirect to གསུང་རབ་ཀྱི་མིང་ཐོ། (it'd be better). Thank you for contributions. --Viskonsas ༡༤:༠༠, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
I understand but even if sometimes the other Wikipedia write only a short article about this personages there is a lot to say about them by an etymologic (I’m linguist) and artistic view. I would like, if you don’t mind, finish the genealogy of Jesus by Luc before to write more in each article and before to start a long article about Buddha’s life.
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༤:༣༣, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Euh… We could talk before you delete all that I did…
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༤:༤༡, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Why don't you check Special:RecentChanges sometimes? I didn't delete any of the articles you created, did I? Only 10 not significant articles were made redirect pages. Sorry, I did not understand what you mean by accusing me of untenable things. I only said that you should not create separate articles about Biblical people, mentioned in Bible only once or twice (such as ཕཱ་ནུ་ཨེལ། or མད་ཐ་ཐི།, ཕཱ་ནུ་ཨེལ།). --Viskonsas ༡༥:༢༨, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
Can you explain me why you said ཕཱ་ནུ་ཨེལ། or མད་ཐ་ཐི།, ཕཱ་ནུ་ཨེལ། are not significant? If not because English Wikipedia told this? For specialists, each name of Bible can give many pages in a book. You didn’t “delete” but “redirect” so… the articles I started are to start again? I continue to think that, before to do this, you should talk. “significant” or not “significant”, above all about a book like Bible, is very subjective.
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༣༢, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
+ A personnage as Zorobabel is significant in French Wikipedia but not in English Wikipedia and a personage as Nahshon is significant in English Wikipedia but not in Spanish Wikipedia… This is too subjective. If the personage is quoted in Bible, if we can find him in art (painting or other), and books research, I don’t see a reason to not talk about.
--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༤༠, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
- But if the person is mentioned in the Bible only once? I think it is enough only to mention it in གསུང་རབ་ཀྱི་མིང་ཐོ།, because there you can write a little information about him/her (such as "the ancestor of Zebedeah" or "the son of Solomon, etc.). Moreover I think there are much more essential pending works, such as completing the list of countries. I hope you understood why I redirected some of the articles you created. --Viskonsas ༡༦:༡༩, ༢༥ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)
